Anxiety is our bodies’ built-in alarm system. It’s what keeps us safe by alerting us to threats. When we are going through something new and potentially scary - like pregnancy and postpartum! - it’s normal for that alarm system to become activated. But sometimes the “on” button gets stuck, making everything feel like a threat. When that happens, we can become irritable and short-fused. It can feel like you’re always fighting to keep the sense of doom at bay, and all of that is exhausting.

Through therapy, I can help your bodies and mind re-learn to differentiate between safety and danger so that we can turn down that sense of fear and worry back to an appropriate and helpful level. I can help you develop anxiety coping strategies, and address underlying issues that may be contributing to your anxiety, so that you can (re)find ease, peace, and enjoyment in your life.
